Dunajec River Rafting is a limited-time attraction available only until the end of October, and one of the best, most popular rafting spots in central Europe. For those of you asking the important question of “what is river rafting, anyway” – it is an outdoor activity where you navigate down a river on a raft or boat of some sort. It can be difficult, it can be easy – it depends on the tastes of an individual group. While we mostly think about the most extreme, dangerous rafting from movies and cinema, remember – it can be as relaxed as you want. So don’t be scared to give it a try!
Dunajec River Rafting is an adventure that starts in Sromowce – a small village in Pineniny Mountains. You can choose between two routes, a 2 hour long 15km long one, or 3 hours long 23 km long one. The first one finishes in Szczawnica, and the other in Kroscienko. Don’t know which one to choose? Don’t worry – we will help you decide!
Either way, you will be able to experience breath-taking mountains first-handed. The amazing Trzy Korony, Sokolica, and Dunajec River Gorge will be only a few breaths away from you.
Interested, but still concerned about your safety or safety of your children and family? Understandable, but worry not – the trip is not considered dangerous by any means. You don’t need any prior experience with rafting whatsoever. Do not worry about equipment – it will be taken care of. Life-jackets are not considered to be needed, but if they make you feel safe, ask and we shall provide! Usually, a single raft can carry a group of up to 12 people, 5 of which can be children. If you would prefer to not share it with strangers, we can arrange a reservation only for you and your friends or family.
You will be taken care of by professional local rafters, who are proud masters of the local tradition. There is no one better suited to help you navigate the river than them. They practice their art while wearing traditional costumes and know every secret of Dunajec. Most of them speak Polish only, but for all intents and purposes, it tends to be enough. Disappointed? Don’t be! We said most, but most is not al! We know a few who do speak English and can arrange for you to share your boat with them. Just give us heads up!
