If you would like to try polish cuisine and the one of the most known dish: pierogi (dumplings), you have to be in Kraków in the second week of August! 12th Pierogi Festival starts on 12th!
What is all about?
Pierogi Festival is one of the most known food festival in Kraków, organised in every day in August on the Small Market Square. It is a great opportunity to presents many variations about this traditional dish to the people from whole world. In the Small Market Square you will meet many restaurateurs and gastronomical representants from Poland, especially from Lesser Poland who will show you their definition of dumplings.
At the end of the festival there will be organized 2 competitions of the best dumplings, one, the public one, the decision depends on spectators – You will be able to vote, the and second one with professional jury. During festival days accompanying, events like concerts, are planned.
