See three of the most important Catholic pilgrimage destinations (Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Lagiewniki)in Poland – all in one day!

Catholic Tour | KrakowShuttle.com

The trip will start at around 9a.m., when our driver will pick you up at your hotel. Your visit in Wadowice, the birthplace of John Paul II will start an hour later. The highlights of the two-hour visit in the small town include the house where the later Pope was born, now turned museum, as well as the basilica in which the young Karol Wojtyla was baptised. You will visit the museum and basilica. There will also be some time to see the Wadowice market square and visit one of the cafes serving the Pope's favourite cream-cakes.

At about noon, you will be taken to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a town whose name derives from the Poland's oldest and most beautiful Calvary complex, built in the 17th century and entered in the UNESCO List of World Heritage in 1999. In Kalwaria, you will see the magnificent Baroque Sanctuary, containing the miraculous painting of Saint Mary.

On your way back to Krakow, you will have some time for lunch.

The last stop is the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, a grand church built near the Convent of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy, where Saint Faustine had her numerous visions of Christ. The basilica, dominated by the giant, 77-meter-high tower, was consecrated by John Paul II in 2002.

You will be returned to your hotel at about 4p.m.
